Brett grew up just outside Ayr, Ontario where his family lived on large family farm. During his early years he spent that time exploring the land around him which ignited Brett's passions for birds and wildlife. He has been a keen birder since an early age and for 15 years he has also been dedicated bird bander in southern Ontario. Brett is now a North American Banding Council certified Bander and Trainer where he has trained and educated many on the importance of avian research.
Professionally, he works as a Wildlife Biologist in Southern Ontario and travels regularly to pursue his passion of birding. Brett has birded in 12 countries including Australia, South Africa and in areas of Central America, Europe and across North America.
