  • With over 920 species on its national bird list, this small Central American country provides birders with a number of endemic and regional endemic bird species.
  • We stay at renowned lodges, that are clean and comfortable, with fantastic birding and wildlife watching opportunities right outside your doorstep.
  • Grounds of lodges often have various flowers that attract a host of colorful hummingbird species, such as the Snowcap, the Rufous-tailed Hummingbird and the Black-bellied Hummingbird, to name just a few species.
  • Excellent chances to see Resplendent Quetzal at Los Quetzales National Park, perhaps the best place to see this species in the world.
  • Enjoy a boat trip through the mangroves on the Tarcoles River, where we will look for the tiny American Pygmy-Kingfisher, and the red-headed 'Mangrove' Yellow Warbler, among other waterbirds and shorebirds.
