Diego Quesada was born and raised as a nature lover in Costa Rica. He has been working as certified naturalist guide, and bird guide since 2002, and has a degree in natural resources management. Diego is a former member of the board of directors for the Ornithologist Association of Costa Rica, and he is also directly involved in bird population monitoring projects and in sustainability consulting. He helps organize the annual Arenal Bird Count and is very active in ebird, both as a field observer and as a volunteer ebird reviewer for Costa Rica. His travels have led him to countries such as Nicaragua, Panama, the USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. Diego has seen 822 species of birds in Costa Rica and he is very keen to show you as many as he can on our Costa Rica tours.
